In Remembrance

What better way to celebrate the mid-summer holiday than by showing you pictures of summer's kickoff? Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Memorial Day weekend (yep, still catching up - just wait there's more).

Memorial day weekend held many firsts. Elise's first time on the buggy. Although the strangeness of this reference is waning a little bit, I do realize that most people would call an ATV a 4-wheeler. Not at our house. They're "buggies" because of a Target dollar-spot board book Jack's been reading since he was one.

I'm pretty sure she enjoyed it.

Our little daredevil can't wait until she can actually take Wes for a ride.

It was the first camp fire of the summer and marshmallow roasting ensued.

Not a huge fan of s'mores, but Jack loved the...

warm (or not so warm), gooey...

sticky, mouth-filling marshmallows.

Wes had his first roasted marshmallow ever.

 He

was

sticky!

Another first: my first photo session with a bonfire!
